“Miguel Tejero’s Lugares de paso analyse the ideal landscape we have created in our times. (…) They are so distressingly real spaces that become dream-like and create a timeless image of the world. When we look upon these landscapes we have a feeling we have seen them before, at other times, in another dream (…). Together with their timelessness, and their desolation devoid of faith and hope, these are landscapes which contain a latent mystery, something that is about to happen, to surprise us, which to us as spectators, causes us extreme discomfort, because our brief passing allows us to sense the presence of a mystery but does not reveal it.”

Carmen Dalmau

He was born in Oruro, Bolivia, in 1959. He has lived in Madrid since he was six months old. He combines his work as an art director and advertising creative with his own artistic practice in both photography and painting. In 2005, he began a course in photography at the EFTI school in Madrid. In 2007, he was selected to exhibit his work at the Łódź School of Art (Poland), and was also a finalist in the Notodofotofest photography competition.
