His images can be considered to follow a very coherent line in their permanent provocation approach and their power of persuasion. His careful technique and style akin to surrealism, have kept him in the avant-garde of Spanish photography.

Almería, 1943. He has worked as a graphic editor for the newspaper Triunfo, and has been an executive member in the Real Sociedad Fotográfica in Madrid. He has also worked as a curator at Les Rencontres d ́Arles. His work became known to a wider public through Nueva Lente, a photography magazine he founded and edited, which became representative of the artistic avant-garde in the 70’s. His main published books are Mal de ojo (1977), Desatinos (2000), Vidas Privadas (2004) and Human (2007). His work has been exhibited in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada, Bilbao, Paris, Brussels, Rome, London, Milan, Stockholm, Harlem, Geneva, Amsterdam, Narbonne, Belgrade, Montpellier, Essen, Vilnius, Marseilles, Tokyo, New York, among others.
